Default Help a feller out with a question...

Hello ..This is my first post here and hopefully not my last...

I am an IT Manager and have a user with a specific problem that I can not find the answer to. Hopefully you all can help.

First we use BES with Notes, the user has a 7230 from T-MO....

Here is his problem... My BB is not picking up e-mail again - li It's like it goes dormant until I hard sync it then it starts receiving again. I got my last e-mail about 8 last night and had 6 new ones when I got to work this morning.

Is this an issue with T-MO? Im thinking so but can find no supporting evidence to go back to my user with. My BB 7510 with Nextel is not having the issue. Nor is the BB a guy on my team has through T-MO.

Could the BB itself be causing the issue?

Any help would be appreciated.

First thing I would do is ensure that the 7230 is running on the latest handheld version of the software. With each new version they upgrade the radio software and improve connectivity.

Second - I would check how the user's signal quality is.

But right off the bat I would update the handheld software.

Check your BES server logs and ensure that the user was indeed supposed to get email. It could be an account corruption problem possibly. If the users' account on BES never even realized it had mail then the problem isn't with the device at all.

We have a problem with people's mailbox getting too full and the phones start misbehaving so we move their mail into personal folder.
