im a bit confused i read on here the limit is 110 characters max at one time but was that post before they merged with Cingular b/c cingular/att website states its 160 characters long... Is there anyone that can confirm this b/c if i send anything over the limit the entire message gets scrambled and does not show up


110 or 160 for At&T

Cingular may be sending the long SMS as a MMS and that's why it is scrambled rather than just cut off. There was a thread on this a couple of weeks ago, I didn't follow it closely so I can't tell you the final determination.

how about the att limit has it changed?
