Please Login to Remove!

Hi anyone,

i just got my a blackberry curve 8310 which is unlocked but i am getting "no service" from all the different sim cards i try putting it in. theres an X by the antenna at the top right

- i have tried the battery pull with the power on
- tried alt-shift-del
- looked at the MEPD and everything is shown as DISABLED
- the mobile network option is checked on

Diagnostic Test Result
Radio Data Activation: No
Signal Level : unknown
Radio Access: Unknown
Network: Unknown
Ip Address: unknown
Icmp pin echo: no
Blacberry registration :no

Application version : v4.5.0.182
platform version: 2.7.0.106



if any other suggestions please do tell

Where did you buy it? Ebay? Craigslist? a website?

Most likely got a junk device and return to seller if possible

i got it off ebay. oh wow ...if its a junk..that sucks...right now am downloading some update to see if that has any effect on it

I have to ask, but are all the sim cards you are trying it with, actually activated to work?

Even if the sims arent active he would still get SOS and emergency calls

umm no

also the hardware is not branded by any carriers logo but the start theme for BB is AT&T, do i need to call AT&T or Rogers if its already shown as unlocked for the no service problem?

Really sounds like a device with a broken radio as with mobile network on, it does not even show SOS. Sim or no sim, activated or not, the device should show SOS.
