For some reason, all of my BBM contacts and my address book were deleted. If I can, I want to take a friend's contacts and address book and upload them onto my phone. What is the best way to do this? I have the blackberry desktop manager and just registered with myverizon. Thank you for your help!!

Sync his BB contacts to Outlook through Desktop Manager, then sync yours.

do I need to download outlook?

That would be best. Although you might be able to use just Desktop Manager to backup his contacts list and then restore yours from that backup. I never tried that, but it could work without the need for Outlook.

In case anyone is interested, this is how i solved the problem step by step. I wanted to synch my friend's contacts to my phone.

I have the new tour, and a mac computer.

1. Download the desktop manager.

2. Plug in your FRIENDS phone.

3. click Back Up (you can either backup the entire phone, or just the address book )

4. Plug in YOUR phone

5. Hit RESTORE, then select the address book from your friend's phone
