Default Blackberry 8520 boot fail!

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I have accidentally poured water on my Curve 8520. I tried to boot it after 10 minutes at the vent but the boot loading progress bar only loads half and then the phone reboots itself and starts all over again.

Do you have any advice for me? Can I format my phone in any way? Is the motherboard busted?

Because you didn't wait enough time to dry your device thoroughly, you may have killed it. These are some steps folks have used to recover BlackBerrys that got wet:

1. Remove battery immediately! Do not attempt to power up until the drying process has had time to work.
2. Drain any water by shaking out the device. Do not use a hair dryer as they tend to generate too much heat and can damage components.
3. Place the BB in a tupperware container filled with uncooked (raw) white rice. Seal it inside, resting on top of the rice, letting it sit for 3 days or more. The rice draws out moisture and traps it, drying out the BB without applying dangerous heat.

After this, you *might* save your device. No guarantees, but this is your best course of action.

Default Problem

I just got a new blackberry 8250 curve and was going through its setting s where i enbled the memory clean up. I connected it to my laptop and suddenly it said that its havaing a memory clean up.

I safely removed my device but then none of its keys work. It continuously shows a white screen and a black box at the centre till the battery dies.

Do have any idea about it. Its a brand new phone
