Default White screen on my BB 8900 Curve

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone know a fix for White Screen on BB 8900 Curve? I live and work in La Paz, Bolivia and there is no OS available for this country, so please do not tell me to reload the OS . From what I have read about this issue, even if I did reload the OS...the problem would continue. What I am looking for is an explanation as to "WHY" this is happening and is RIM or BB looking into a recall or a GOOD FIX for this problem? For the record, I have seen this same issue on several phones here in Bolivia (South America). Any info would be helpful as I am trying to get my local provider to replace the phone and they are trying to tell me that "spam" caused this ...spam? I doubt it...thanks a bunch! Spam did not cause the phone to white screen.

After connecting a BlackBerry smartphone to the USB port of a computer, the BlackBerry smartphone shows a white screen and does not display the Connecting to Desktop or Connected to Desktop screens. However, BlackBerry Desktop Manager displays the BlackBerry smartphone's personal identification number (PIN) as being Connected.

There are multiple causes for this error.
There is a problem with the BlackBerry smartphone's backlight, which could have been caused by a power surge on the USB port.
There are missing .cod files on the BlackBerry smartphone.

Complete the following steps to resolve this issue:
Run Application Loader to reinstall BlackBerry® Device Software on the BlackBerry smartphone. .
If the issue still persists, run javaloader by typing a command with the following format:
javaloader [-u] [-p<port>|<pin>] [-b<baud>] [-d0|-d1] [-w<password>] [-q] <command>

Reinstall BlackBerry Device Software, as per step 1.

If the issue still persists, contact your service provider for further instructions.
If someone helps, tell them by clicking the Thanks buttonî

Hi, I have the same problem. i did the backup, uninstalled all applications and software through the application loader in the desktop manager, and it installed them back again. The phone still has the white screen. Where do I type:
javaloader [-u] [-p<port>|<pin>] [-b<baud>] [-d0|-d1] [-w<password>] [-q] <command>
in the process?
