Default Blackberry Messenger while on phone?

Please Login to Remove!

Can you receive Blackberry IMs while on the phone? I can SMS but cant see how to set the BBM to do it. Thanks

BBM uses data... I don't believe that Verizon has the ability to do simultaneous voice and data services.

No, that's not true. There's literally dozens of wireless carriers who support simultaneous voice & data on their 3G networks.

Its not that they "let you" its carriers with devices with 2 radios in it.

In addition to what Penguin said, not all devices on AT&T and T-Mobile (as well as other GSM carriers) support simultaneous voice and data. Reading your post, a user may think since they have a Curve on AT&T that they should be able to use data whilst on a voice call.

You must have a 3G capable phone to use this function.

Both true. In the USA those are the only two that have the phones to do this. Unless you have wifi, it won't happen on cdma networks
