Does anyone know why I can't use certain programs with my Storm2. The keyboard doesn't respond at all. Thank you. This is my first post so I hope I am putting this question in the correct place.

Not sure. Are you using a program designed to work with the Storm 2? Could be a bug in the app. Try a battery pull and restart application.
