Please anyone help me to manually configure GPRS settings on my blackberry curve 8320????

Please answer the following questions, and then search for your answer:

1. In what country are you located?
2. Who is your service provider?
3. Do you have a BlackBerry data plan from your provider?

I'm from Sri lanka.provider is Dialog gsm.i have all the settings.but i dont know where the place that settings would be enter....please let me know where the place of settings locate in blackberry curve 8320.

The location where settings should be entered can be found in your manual. If you do not have the manual, you can find it by searching the forums or google.com.

You don't need to.

i did that but dont workin....my provider hav not username and password.

Blackberryies require a APN address, username and password.
This is the only data oyu can input.

If your carrier doesn't have such things, theres nothing you can do.
Except perhaps get a blackberry data plan; or a different phone.

I think the carriers require the data plan to keep the maps updated as the GPS does the tracking so I would think the data plan is required. I donxxx8217;t know of any software that could fit on the BB with the necessary maps to keep up without internet access movement updates.. I have a GPS mapping software on my PC also and itxxx8217;s about 2 gig, a bit more than the BB can store. Maybe there are smaller size programs but I cannot find one.

Not all networks require you to input a username and password,for many service providers these fields are left blank.

Quick IM have a list of 100s of networks around the world and the tcp settings for them that can be found here should any members need the settings for their carrier and the OP may well find that his provider does not require a username and password just the APN.

i entered APN under TCP option according to woodyuk guidence.now my GPRS is working but its only third party applications.(eg:opera mini,iskoot,ebuddy..).default applications are not working.eg:default browser,gtalk,yahoo & live massenger

WHY IS IT any settings to be done?????

No, those applications require a blackberry data plan.
And will NOT work without it.
