Can the red mail indicator light be shut off? If so, how? I have searched the forum but did not find a definitive answer. Thanks.

Within profiles.
For each element (sms, email etc) it has the choice of whether showing the LED. Set it to off, and save.

Thanks for the quick response. However, when I go to mail/options/general options and set the "display new message indicator" to No, it shuts off the screen notification but the red notification light still goes off. Could it be software related (I'm on V4.2.2.170).

I didn't say mail options.
Go into Profiles. Where you setup the sound you want it to make upon getting a message.
Here you can configure whether you want it to display the LED.
