Default Deleting 'built-in' apps?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

Brand new member here...have a tech question for someone smarter than I am (that's pretty much everyone!)

My phone came with several 'built-in' apps loaded onto it (e.g. NHL Hockey, PocketRocket, BellTV, and I never use these things so I'd like to delete them from what I (mistakenly?) call the 'desktop' on my phone. Anyone know how? BB tech support wants to charge me. I tired to do so through the device manager software and using the phone itself, but with no joy.

I have a Pearl 8230. Many thanks!

Most of those are just shortcuts to web apps ... and they are pushed out from your provider (Bell). You may find that when you delete them your provider just pushes them back onto your device. My suggestion would be to create a folder (menu/add folder - call it JUNK). Move these shortcuts into the new folder (highlight the shortcut/menu/move to folder), hide the folder (highlight the folder/menu/hide) and forget them. Make sure that you do not have SHOW ALL checked.

I believe that you can hide apps that you don't want to see as well with the menu button
