Default Unable to connect to requested server ??? but it works sometimes?

Help i've connected my phone to wifi and i can get on google but i cant get on any other pages and i cant download any apps. I'm connected to the hotspot and i have a bold 9700 can anyone help?

Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan?

No BB data plan but wifi might explain the intermittent ability to connect.

Some web pages wont work with a cell phone and when they detect one they simply do not respond or give an error message.
