Is this an error??
Just moved to a new company, BES, etc. Formerly all Exchange (yipee!), but now on Notes (grrr!). Anyway, when installing the new company policy, etc. I began getting the following message when I sync:

"Seeding device random number generator". It's a progress bar and doesn't seem to interrupt anything, but both me and the technician working with me weren't familiar with it, or how to deselect an option related to it. All the others in our company don't use (or see) that.

Is the BlackBerry one you brought with you from your previous employeer? Is it a new device or hand-me-down from someone else? Try a security wipe if all else fails.

I did bring it with me (personally owned), but we did a complete new install. New Desktop Manager, New OS on the Bb, new BES. So the unit was completely wiped before we installed. I think we (I) selected something in the install process that causes this.

Help me with the security wipe idea. Since my company pushes policy to me, do I need to do that with the help desk, or is that something local to the phone that will pick up a new policy as pushed from the BES?
