Hi,

I am on the verge of tears right now, after waking up to a black screen that wouldn't turn on. I took the battery out and rebooted the BB with no luck.

I checked the battery to see if there was by chance water damage, even though the phone didn't get wet...there was no sign of any water.

Now the phone turns on, and gets all the way to the set up wizard screen, then won't progress. It's as if the trackball and/or keys don't work.I even tried replacing the battery with another one, but nothing works.

Is there anything you can think of that I'm not trying?
I really appreciate your help.

Did you drop it? Has it been somewhere with high humidity?

Try removing the SD card and then with the device on, do a battery pull. Leave the battery out for at least a minute.

Reinsert and let it reboot.
