My teenage daughter is going to kill me. I went to do a full backup for her and then the phone (a pearl) did an update. When it was all done, her photos are gone. No photos are on the backup apparently, how do I restore them from the media card if I can't see them?

If the pictures were on the media card they should not have been affected by an upgrade.

However, if you can't see them they are either marked as hidden or were never there.

If you performed a full backup before the update try this.

Connect the BlackBerry to the PC and open the Desktop Manager. Go into Backup & Restore and choose Advanced. On the left choose file/open and point it to the backup file you created. On the left side box scroll down and highlight "Content Store" then click the right pointing arrow button (-->) and then click "Yes" on the pop-up window.

Hopefully this will restore the lost pictures, good luck.
