Default 7130e - Worth it without a data plan?

I'm looking into the 7130e, but I can't afford a data plan. I'm looking for a phone/PDA combo, and the 7130e seems to be the smallest and most durable verizon offers.

The 7130e is a decent phone and an adequate pda, but where it really shines is in moving data. Seems like a waste to me if you don't get a data plan. There are better phones and pda's out there.

I agree, without the data plan, it is just a brick I would look at what you really want/need it for and see if you can find a better match. Then again, maybe if you go with a small data plan and don't do allot of email, surfer, IM, it might work for you.
