I just noticed the last e-mail I can find that was sent from my Hotmail account on my BB that synced to my Hotmail "Sent" folder (web and in Outlook 2007 using Outlook Connector) was on 4/28/10. I don't look at sent e-mails that often so obviously it's taken me over a month to notice that something is not working the way it used to. Today I sent about 15 e-mails from my BB and none show up in my Hotmail "Sent" folder in Outlook 2007 or in Hotmail on the web. I also see that on the device there is not a choice to "Save Copy in Sent Folder" for my Hotmail account -- only for my BES account. I sure thought there used to be for Hotmail. Has something changed in how Hotmail is synced between the device and the account?

I can find nothing to indicate they changed something with Hotmail but Microsoft does things like that without telling anyone. Maybe someone else has an idea,

I noticed the same exact problem recently, but it seems to have been resolved by changing a setting. The Manage Internet Email icon on the BlackBerry's home screen allows you to edit or delete individual email accounts. Click on edit for the Hotmail account. At the bottom there should be an option to "change Protocol" (the question mark next to it explains things). If you change the Protocol, the old way of doing things seemingly returns - mesages read on the BB will appear as read in the Hotmail inbox, and messages sent from the BB will appear in the sent folder. If, after changing the Protocol, things still do not work, simply delete the Hotmail account from the BB and add it again - the second time round, it appears, it will automatically install with the new Protocol.
