Default BB Messenger: What happens when you're unavailable?

Please Login to Remove!

I've had a BB several months, but am new to BB Messenger. I noticed I can make myself "unavailable", but what does that do really? I know the person sending me a message can see that I'm unavailable, but they are still allowed to send me a message. Will I still be notified if I receive a message since it still is just a PIN message or will it mute the alert somehow? Will I actually get the messages in my BB Messenger while unavailable where I can view them later?

I know this is likely one of those "just try it" scenarios, but like I said, I'm pretty new to using BB Messenger and honestly haven't had a chance to try it yet.

You'll receive the message but won't be notified of it .. no alert but you can read it later.
