Unhappy Desktop Manager & Outlook 2007

Please Login to Remove!

Help!!

I have installed Desktop manager v5.01 but when i select configure synchronisation, Outlook is not listed as an option to sync contacts or calendar (only ASCII Import, Outlook Express & Yahoo are listed).

I came accross this problem with Outlook XP, but have not had this issue with Outlook 2003 or 2007 before. Has anyone any ideas for a fix??

Thanks

Are you using BES? Did you select the personal option or the corporate when installing DM?

Might try deleting DM, rebooting the PC and then reinstalling DM, maybe ver 5.0. What OS is on the PC?

Question

Thanks for the reply

No, BIS and yes, i selected personal email option.

The o/s is Windows XP sp3, and have removed and reinstalled DM, rebooted etc... The PC user had an old version 4.* installed, this had the same problem

Very strange. One thing I would try (if DubDub's suggestion doesn't work) is to run a repair on your Outlook or Office installation. If that doesn't work, I would uninstall DM, run a registry cleaner, reboot, reinstall.

Thanks TXLady.... Been through all those too... All i can think is that somehow there is some form of security or firewall on Outlook, but wouldn't have a clue where to look.
I've installed hundreds of DMs before and never come accross this.... At least its nice to know its not me having brain fade haha

Which version of Outlook do you have installed on your PC?

I would run a repair or reinstall on Outlook/Office.

If the reinstall of the desktop manager does not fix it.

Outlook 2007 steve, Tried the repair option, but no joy. The users are on an exchange server, but again i've done installs on 2007 running with exchange before without issue

Could there be some sort of corporate block on these PCs? Seems you are using them in a business environment? Is that correct?

Yea, they are in a small office, so its not a big corporation.
The IT company who installed office have no sensible suggestions as to extra security, hence my cry for help on here.
