Default free memory (take 2)

my older post isnt showing up and says "invalid thread" when i try to update it. seems the board is having server issues... here goes again.

I see 6.68M in "file total" in my status screen for my 8700. For File Free, i see 4.96M. Database sizes total only 134k... so where is this other ~1.6M going? Is this the memory the OS is loaded in? Where can i find where this 1.6M is taken up?

Thanks!

As the title says, it's not easy, but:

Options/Advanced/Applications
Then select each application,
Then from the menu select Modules,
Then for select each module and veiw properties,
There you will find the size in bytes.

If you really need to know this have fun There may be another way, but . . .

Hope this helps.

Thanks--- I probably wont do that.

I just wanted to make sure this 1.6M was taken up by existing software/OS, and NOT something i had done or added. I want to make sure Im not taking up space i dont know about.

Thanks!!

At least with the applications, you can see what has been added.
