Default Pushed Programs. Gone for good?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

I either read a post about this or posted one myself a long time ago, but I have a question...

So I 'love' how rogers or bell or whatever pushes programs to your blackberry... I deleted the service books and of course they came back.

They are hidden, but how do i get rid of (permanently) the STUPID programs that I really don't want?

For example, urMusic, World Series of Poker 3 Demo, 'Get New Apps', Zoompass, Tetris, Brain Challenge 2 Demo (ps, they screwed up and i also had a BRIAN challenge 2 demo), etc.. it's driving me NUTS.

I know they're hidden, but i want them off!

Thanks!

Edit: found the old threat (i just read it, not posted it) Can't delete a few things

there has to be some update since then, no?

Just like the other post said, they'll be pushed again. You can delete all you want, but on the next service book update you'll have them again. Otherwise no way. This is why its best to just hide them. Typically they aren't even programs, just links to get the program.

It's a carrier thing. Very dangerous, as I believe it's a prelude to the carriers pushing advertisements to users and, in effect, sanctioning spamming by "preferred" partners.

I agree with rambo47, It's just a matter of time before we see ads in the emails and text messages.
