Default temporarily extend timer for automatic lock?

Please Login to Remove!

Is there an application which will, with the application launch, extend the time until the device locks to a predefined time ?

I normally like to have the phone locked within 1 minute. However, sometimes when using a GPS/mapping/navigation sofware, it would be nice to have the device unlocked for a longer time.
Manually editing of the device settings is a pain.

having something I launch from the menu, which then puts itself in the background, resets the security timer, and terminates itself after XX minutes, that would be nice to have.

Thanks.

Nope. You have to manually set it for a shorter duration, and then reset it for your standard time limit if you want to default back to your original time limit.

Correct,
thats why I am looking for some third party app to have this feature.

It would not be hard to develop this (I am no developer, I just speculate, otherwise I had programmed this already).

If you grant an app the Priviledge of "security timer reset" and "input simulation", It could do just this.
