Rather than ask if it can be "jailbroke", perhaps you should tell us what you are wanting to do.

If you are wanting to "unlock" your 9550, than yes it can. Check ebay for a cheap unlock code. The service books for the current provider will need to be loaded on it. Its not very tough but it's a little time consuming. I have my 9530 for AT&T with mms, txt, email, internet and everything else available. The only bad thing is I don't get 3G, only EDGE. I'm still working on that but I don't think there is a fix.
