Cool emergency calls only

Please Login to Remove!

got a blackberyy 7230 for ebay, which is ment to be unlocked. i put my 02 chip into the phone and it picks shows the network im connected to and i can check my balance and call top upservices, yet when i go to try and call someone it comes up with emergency calls only. i also keep getting message boxes saying, "the application transport has requested a http connection to :4545, allow or deny. i click allow yet it comes up data connection refused or something. any one know how to get it working?

I guess you didn't search or read any FAQs first. That error means you aren't paying for blackberry service, please read the FAQs for a better explanation.

The other stuff is some application installed on the phone trying to make connections.

"Emergency calls only" means usually that the SIM is not active. But in your case maybe the IMEI is blocked. Another possibility is the previous owner had the phone service disabled by a policy on a BES server.

I just had the same problem with mine and i fixed it with a few easy steps. First check to see if there is a IT policy on your blackberry it is under options then security it will state it on the bottom. if there is then follow the steps on this website. http://users.tpg.com.au/dan1e1w/
