Please Login to Remove!

Hi

I found an BlackBerry 8530 on airport. If I turn it on it asks me for any password. But in this case I can not find out any last called phone number or the owners name. Can you help me find the owner by serial number or whatever?

Greetings

The message with BlackBerry Desktop manager is:
Handheld: USB: BlackBerry 8530 (serial)
Geben Sie Ihr Gerštekennwort (3/10) ein.

I would prefer to send the device to the owner before I tested all 10 of 10 passwords in my mind
Or can I be sure that he will not lose the data? I don't know if he has any BDI or BID or whatever the special service is called.

Regards

Dont try random passwords it will erase it.

If you truly want to return it, the carrier name (phone company) should be on the outside of the phone somewhere. Return it to the carrier and they will track down the owner.

Hi
I have no carrier on it as far as I can see it.
When I remove the back cover there is a white text like:
GPS.BT.WIFI. HDW-some numbers.
Then there is a number: MEID
and
pESN
and
PRD

But no carrier nor shipping address.

Wirelessly posted (White and Nerdy)

On the front of the phone under the keyboard there should be branding. If not, on top above the time there should slso be the carriers name. Call that carrier.

If all else fails, you could also return it to the "Lost and Found" department in the Airport. The original owner may call there looking for it.

What logo is on the front of the phone below the keyboard?

Verizon? Bell? Telus? Sprint? Something else?

Take it to a Sprint store. They can look up the owner by the ESN.

If that's not an option, take it to the Lost and Found at the airport as suggested above, although by now, it's probably been reported lost by the owner and blocked by the carrier.

Thank you. The lost & found is no option. But here the "Sprint" logo is not known. And now, I can search for this keyword. Thanks in this case.

Lesson to all: Put your contact info and ICE info on your owner screen, and use the password lock.

At least he tried. All they had to do is give him an address. Too bad a Sprint VP could not get this conversation.

I can understand Sprint not giving him or anyone another person's address or phone number or any information. Maybe Sprint customer service could have taken the OP's phone number or email and passed it on to the owner if the owner was a customer.

I only asked for an address of Sprint, not of the real owner.

.
Thanks!

Can I have a email or phone number too (Perhaps as PM) to contact them first to verify to not get a similar answer as in the chat?
