Default Moving from Aus to UK

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I don't actually have a BB yet, but I am looking into one (in particular, the Bold 9700). However, in about 6 months I'm moving to England for a year and currently live in Australia.

Now, I know we have similar telcos (eg: 3, Vodafone, etc) and my question is, if I purchase a HANDSET ONLY and unlock it, will I be able to purchase any SIM card in the UK and have it work on the BB?

Thanks in advance

Most carriers like customers to travel and use their cell phones because they make a lot of money on roaming charges. I would call your local carrier and get the details on using their service in another country if they are still the carrier. They may offer some type of plan that would work for you. Someone who uses Your carrier ( Vodafone)may respond here with more info.
