Exclamation C++ Runtime error when calendar sync

Please Login to Remove!

Due to a drive failure i recently had to reinstall my whole system on a new drive. Now when i try to synch my 7100 with outlook 2003 it crashes in about the same place when reading the calendar entries and gives me a C++ runtime library error caused by desktopmgr.exe and terminates the program.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled bbary software, deleted all the entries around the date it crashes, deleted all the attachments to the calendar etc.

Please help.

Thanks

This isn't a fun error to fix, so you may want to call your carrier's support line or RIM if you can. There are, however, steps to fix this issue. Basically, you have some corrupt entries in your calendar. Here is a Blackberry TKC Document that shows you how to enable advanced logging so you can find the corrupt entry.

Default Thank you rawr!

Rawr's diagnostics worked great on my system, got rid of the runtime error right away.

For those interested follow all of the instructions in the TKC document, then run the sync. Open up the tif.log in
H:\Documents and Settings\[your user name]\Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Intellisync

scroll down to the end of the document and you'll find the Outlook item that causes the conflict.

I have an error that says that one of my recurring meetings has a problem, but how can I tell which one is the problem? It gets to 412 and stops. Does any one have any tips on what to do?
