Default Please Help, Curve 8900

Please Login to Remove!

I encountered a problem with my Blackberry Curve 8900 on Wednesday night and was wondering if anyone could help me out

I went to plug my blackberry 8900 into my PC to upload some pics and documents onto my computer. When I did, I needed to upgrade to desktop manager to the latest version (5.0.1 or something like that). Once I did that and it installed on my phone, ALL my information was deleted and set back to factory settings like when I had just bought the phone.

I did not back up many of my pictures/files and was wondering if there is a way to set the "clock" back on the device similiar to setting a computers "clock" back or if there is a program that can retrieve things that were deleted.

Please let me know,

Thanks

There is no such software. This is why we recommend regular backups. Most dont listen to this tip until they lose all t hier info at least once.

With no back up, there isn't much that you can do. Are you sure DM didn't make a back up before it installed the new OS?

Pictures/files *should* have been on the memory card. Did you have a microSD memory card?

Hi guys,

thanks for the quick responses,

Dubdub: How would I be able to check if the DM made a back up before it installed the new OS?

Look for a file with the extension IPD on you C: drive.
That will contain the backup.

I am having trouble finding a file w/ an IPD extension on my C drive. Is there anywhere specifically it may be or is there another possibility I could try
