Exclamation Help! My BB7230 crashed!!!

Please Login to Remove!

Guys, i need ur help on this asap!
I recently noticed that when people call me on my BB, i don't get to see their names (even though stored on it) except they call me back again! I wonder why bcos i dont use the phone and sim contacts at the same time.

So i decided to upgrade the BB using my Desktop Manager. When i tried to access the DM, it says mym password is enabled. When i tried to put it in, it failed 10 times and erased all data on my phone leaving me with an "Error 507".

Please what do I do as I cannot upgrade and my BB is dead flat!

Kindly respond asap.

Thanks.

If you have a backup your ok, if not you have a problem.
Try to reload the OS and this time dont rush it.
You did use the OS for the 7200 series BB did you not?

Complete the following steps:
Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer and open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
Click Application Loader.
Click Update Software.
Type your BlackBerry smartphone password (if prompted) and click OK.
Click Options under Device software options.
Select the check boxes next to the names of the applications you want to install.
Click Settings, and remove the check mark from the check box for Back up device data automatically during the installation process.
Click OK.
Click Next > Finish.
When the process has completed, the message The loading operation was successful will appear. Click Main Menu to return to BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
