Default Bluetooth problem 9700

My 9700 is paired to my factory kit in my Range Rover, but it asks for the password each and every time, however in my wife's VW it connects automaticly. What can I do to fix the issue in the Range Rover?

Does it have a trusted setting. sounds like the car and the phone do not "trust"

another thought,
The VW should not automatically connect to ant phone without the phone validating the connection. If it does then this is a security issue on either the phone or the car.

Delete it and redo it. Do it slow and give the prompt to grant permission time to come up. Check the box "do not ask again" and you will be fine. If you do not get the prompt with the box to check keep doing it until it comes up. I had this happen with my Hummer. Finally figured out I don't think I was even getting the prompt to check the first two tries.
