Default Outlook 2003 Mail handling - Hosted BES

Please Login to Remove!

Using Hosted BES
Outlook 2003
Wireless reconciliation

Looking for some ideas on how other people might handle this

I save a lot of emails (outlook.pst is 1.6GB currently)
When downloading emails from the exchange server to Outlook on my laptop, I have a rule in outlook that as soon as it arrives, it takes it from my Mailbox (exchange mailbox) and moves it to my Personal folder (.pst). This essentially removes it from the exchange server and puts it into .pst so I can save if needed. There's a limit on the Exchange server so I can't keep everything on there (my bb downloads it before it gets removed).
However, this rule seems to be causing Outlook synchronization errors like crazy.
Anybody doing something similar out there? Any other recommendations?

I set Outlook to archive email every few days...and I don't have any issues...

I have a 1GB Yahoo account for friends that like to send large attachments--which I use express to pull.

Jase88, are you using an Outlook rule similar to what I have to move your exhange mail to your .pst file? I don't think my issue has anything to do with the size of my .pst file although I know that at 2GB Outlook will start reacting.

^^ No rule...I've just set Outlook to archive my mail at set intervals.

Stop using the rule and set Outlook to download to your personal folder.

I was sending everything to my outlook.pst originally, but then my contacts and calendar wouldn't sync wirelessly. On the advice of the support desk at my Hosted Exchange service, he told me that those will not synchronize if I'm downloading direct to Outlook. As soon as I changed it to download to my Exchange mailbox, it then started syncing again.
