I have a 8700r on Rogers for personal use and it has a SIM card in it that I have had for the last 5 years since my Motorola v60g. I just received a 7520 on Telus that I use at work (specifically for the Direct Connect feature). When I removed the battery I noticed it had a SIM card in it too. I'm confused, I thought that only GSM devices use the SIM cards??? Can someone explain???

IDEN network uses a SIM card as well which is what Telus and Nextel use. Rogers uses GSM and has a SIM. Yet, IDEN and GSM are two different networks.
