Contacts list and Calendar Sync with Thunderbird Email and Calendar
 

Can anyone tell me if there are any plans to allow sync between the Blackberry and Mozilla Thunderbird Email client and contacts as well as the Calendar that is available with the Thunderbird Email Client or if it is currently available can someone tell me how to do it or tell me where I can find directions to do so. Thanks in advance for the information on this.

I'm guessing only RIM will know the answer to that question.

Not a great solution. But, there is an addin for Thunderbird called Zindus. This will synch your Thunderbird contacts with Google mail. Those contacts can then be synched to your BB. I haven't tried to synch the calendar but it should work as well.

I use Thunderbird and Lightning on both Mac and PCs. I sync calendar to Google Calendar which will sync with the BB, iPhone, Outlook (PC) and Entourage (Mac).
