I have taken very dear videos with my Bold 9000.

I can't watch them !

The file extension is .lock3 which means encrypted.
I have read hundreds on complaints to this respect but no solutions so far.

What is Blackberry doing to solve this issue !!!!!

or

Anyone has a solution

Salaam.

Have you attempted to move the videos to your computer? Have you disabled encryption in the device?

Also, please understand that this forum is not associated with RIM in any way.

Chokran.

.lock3 extension? Could that be from a 3rd party app? RIM usually uses the .rem extension.

According to THIS it may be something related to MS's .NET framework. Doesn't make sense if the videos were actually shot on a BB, but maybe it does if they were shot elsewhere and loaded onto your BB.

In another thread somebody claimed to have emailed these files to himself and opened the email on a pc, giving him the ability to download the video files from those emails and open them on that pc. Can These Videos Be Salvaged?
