go into the ebay app, and read them there (it may also just refresh and realise the messages have been read)

Thanks for your help, but I've done that already.. Ive even tried to delete the messages from my Ebay app, but can't seem to do it. Ive also tried turning off my phone to see if it will refresh itself, but that hasn't worked either. Soo frustrating! Any other ideas anyone??..

turning off the phone won't refresh anything, try a battery pull.

There is an even easier way: simple go to the generic "Messages" folder (where missed calls, emails, etc. show up) and click on the ebay message there. Like any other new message, the icon will disappear. I am not sure why it won't go away once you view the message within the ebay application. Hopefully there will be an update for it soon.
