Default Interested in BB, but some potential issues. Help/Ideas?

I need a new personal phone, and I really like the form factor of the 7100 series. My work does provide Blackberries and has a BES setup, but there are two issues; 1) the bigger issue is that I canít use the phone for personal use (and I want to be able to keep my own personal phone number anyway), 2) I am limited to the Blackberry they provide (which is an older model) and they will not setup a personal BB with the access to the BES. I was wondering what my options were.

- Is it possible for me to buy a personal BB and somehow get it to access the company BES, but use my personal account for voice?
- Is it possible for me to change the phone number on the business BB to my personal cell phone number.. and have it charge minutes against my personal account but still be able to access the company BES for data?
- If neither of those are options, how about the BIS (or some other wireless sync option)? Does that only sync email or will it also take care of the calendar and tasks?

I am afraid that if none of the above are good options, I may end up getting a Treo with Wireless Sync (or one of the equivalent programs).

Thanks

-Yes it is possible to used company BES if your company allows you and you can still use your personal voice plan. Otherwise Mail Connector is the solution.
-You can switch the SIMs and be able to use the office BB but it will not be your office BB then
BIS will be provided by your personal provider and it will synch the emails without any issues. Others will not be synched. You might have to use 3rd party tools to synch others.
Do you know who will be your provider >?
Good luck

If you get a BB from your company and the PIN is in their BES then the email/outlook BB sync would work for the company email. Then like joginder suggested, just put your current SIM into the BB and the phone number will be your personal phone. If the company want to call you on the company phone number, that would only happen if you put the BB Sim back in.

One other thing to consider, is with a company BES also will come a company IT policy which may limit what else you can do on the device, like downloading 3rd apps for IM etc.

If you really don't need it for work and the company really isn't going to help, I would consider just buying one for personal use.
