Default E-mail Sender Display Name

Please Login to Remove!

I have my Exchange e-mail account setup on my BlackBerry 9700 using BIS.

All is working just fine except for one thing: The name of few e-mail senders is not being displayed, instead the organization name is being displayed.

To explain some more, on Exchange I have the company details filled for every user. For few users only, when they send me e-mails, instead of displaying the sender as "John Smith", the sender is being displayed as "Company Inc.", where Company is the filled company name under the user's properties under Exchange.

This is taking place for few users (5 or 6) who are sending me e-mails. For the rest of the users I'm not experiencing this problem.

Can someone please help? Thanks.

Outlook will use the valid email address of the name to send the email. What Outlook will do once syncxxx8217;ed if the address book has a name loaded is show that name in place of the long email address. So I would check to see if the data in the xxx8220;companyxxx8221; field is correct and the name field has their name and not reversed.

Name field has xxx8220; abc companyxxx8221;
Company field has xxx8220; joe smithxxx8221;

From RIM
The BlackBerry smartphone user has specified an Address Book entry with the incorrect information.
To modify an Address Book entry, complete the following steps:
1. Open the Address Book.
2. Click the Address Book entry.
3. Modify the appropriate fields.
4. Click Save.
