Received an email from RIM advising of a new software update.

Downloaded and installed (5.0.0.771) and now the Tasks icon has disappeared, and cannot synch my tasks with Outlook.

Blackberry9000 on Tel$tra Australia network.

Run the add/remove applications application in desktop manager. Check the tasks app to be installed. While you are in there, scroll down and make sure everything else you want is checked, and what you don't want is unchecked. Then finish.

Is this add/remove option included with the 6.0 upgrade, because I cant seem to find it?

I think you need to click on applications over on the left. Can't double check right now. Also, the look and procedure is different. But once you are looking at the screen listing the applications, follow the direction to add or remove. There are not boxes to check/uncheck.

Thanks, this displays all of the apps that are currently on the device, but doesn't allow me to add any.

Look to the right in the action column. Do you see a + corresponding to the applications that are not installed, and an x for those that are, where clicking the + will add and clicking x will remove? After you click, the pending action will show in the status column and the summary of actions will be at the bottom.
