Angry Veyr slow internet on BB Curve 8520? Is this normal/common?

Please Login to Remove!

I have the BlackBerry Curve 8520 and the internet on it is so slow to the point where it is not worth going on it because it hardly responds. The internet connection is through WiFi but there is no difference in the speed when I'm at home, in another WiFi hotspot or in the middle of a field. It's just always slow!
I've spoke to a few others about it who own the same model and they seem to think there is a problem with it. All of the apps such as Facebook and Windows live messenger work well, it is the browser that is constantly slow.
Does anybody else have the same problem or know if it is normal with this particular model?

Have you tried pulling your battery and placing back in device while on?

Mine is 8520 and I was quite impressed how quickly it loaded pages compared to my old phone

It's on Vodafone so whether that makes a diff - What's it like direct off internet (not wi-fi), what sort of signal do you get?

First off, the 8520 is EDGE only so it isn't going to be that fast - barely faster than dial-up, so it is going to appear to be slow as compared to 3G devices.
