| I'm using midpssh to connect back to my Debian box over SSH. Perhaps this is what you're thinking of. I'm trying to track down midpssh 1.5 so I can turn off the plain text authentication and use active keyboard but that's a different post.
You can telnet to any system that offers a telent service. Hell, you can telnet in to your mail server, your webserver, or of course, a proper telnet server. As long as there is a plain text medium to issue commands to you can pretty much telnet in to it. Freaks people out when retrieve information for webservers using telnet though even though it's really straight forward. |
