Just bought a used blackberry off a friend. Is there anything i need to do, something like a reset? i got the software, but have not yet uploaded it.

Also, is there anyway of saving new numbers straight to my sim card?

With The Software Upgrade It Is A Option That Alows U To Save To The Sim Card

First, I would check to see that it is unlocked or that you are planning to use it on the same provider as your friend. Second, if it was on a BES, I would check to see if it had a IT policy. I assume your friend wiped it clean of his info.

A BB really doesn't use the SIM for numbers, you put your contacts/addresses/numbers in Outlook or other PC application and sync it up. Much easier than trying to type them all into the BB. With my 8700, I can copy SIM numbers into my address book, but never have had any need to.
