How do I view the location of my pictures? I have the geotagging feature on, but I don't see the location of the picture when I view it. I have a BB Tour 9630. Thanks.

While viewing the picture, click on the menu (BB) button, scroll down to View On Map, click. It will show the location on BB maps.

Note that you must have a GPS satellite lock when you take the picture in order for the coordinates to be tagged to the picture.

If the picture is geotagged, you will see a little globe symbol next to the picture name when you are previewing the picture.

If there is not globe, then the picture didn't have the coordinates assigned to it.

How do I get a GPS satellite lock? I opened the picture and clicked on the BB button but I didn't see an option to "view on map". I have Geotagging on.

A quick way to ensure that you have a satellite lock before you take the pictures is to open BBMaps or Google Maps and check the GPS signal there.

If you don't have a "View on Map" option on the picture, then the coordinates were not recorded for that picture.

I checked Google Maps and it showed my location. Everything seemed to be ok but I still don't see the "View on Map" option. Do I need a Google account or something?

So you are saying that you got a GPS satellite lock, and then you took a new picture, and that picture was not geotagged (ie that picture did not have the "View on Map" option or didn't have the little globe symbol next to it?

And no, you don't need Google account. Google doesn't have anything to do with it.

Can you check and see if you have a satellite lock in BBMaps?
