Default Gmail IMAP - only one way?

Please Login to Remove!

I have setup my G-mail account on the BlackBerry Bold. When I get an e-mail message and read it on BB, the status in my G-mail webmail changes to "read" (bold is gone). If I do it the other way around - read e-mail in webmail, the status on BB does not change. BB still shows the message as unread.

So is G-mail IMAP working only one way?

Thanks.

Might try a search. I know this has been covered in the past, just can't remember the particulars.

RIM was supposed to deliver it in BIS 3 but it wasn't a full 2 way email sync. I think some are seeing some 2 way but it takes hours to accomplish. Maybe with BIS 3.2 on the horizon, it will be real.

I know Yahoo has some sort of arrangement where they have 2 way sync.

Thanks for replying. It looks like it works both ways but it takes time to update BB. Just got my two e-mails deleted on BB after deleting them from webmail. It just took over half an hour.

Yes It could take up to 4 hours for the Sync to reach BB from web mail.
