First troubleshooting step: With the power on, remove the battery for at least 30 seconds. Then try again.

With the device on, pull the battery for about 30 seconds. Then put the battery back in and let it reboot.

Most likely you ran out of memory. The 8100 series doesn't have a lot of extra space.

No. It'll be fine. Should fix problem. If not, then we'll look for other possibilities.

FYI start backing up the device to a computer every once in a while. If you make changes to your calendar and contacts frequently, do backups more often.

Remove the battery? Or do a backup?

To do backups, go to blackberry.com on a computer and download and install Desktop Manager. You may see link to Desktop Software. Can't remember how it is indentified on the website.

Just a note that with Sprint you will be required to get a BlackBerry Data Plan when you activate the device on the Sprint network.

And you should sync your contacts with Outlook if you have that on your PC.
