Default 8830 sync

Please Login to Remove!

just downloaded new version of BlackBerry desktop manager and now i can't sync. I get "unknown error reported" message and no assistance to resolve. I tried resetting but that didn't help.

What OS on the PC? What version Of Qutlook?

Did you try DM 5?

XP on desktop; 2003 Outlook; don't know what DM 5 is.

I was suing DM5. I just downloaded BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.0 (relaesed Aug 3,2010; bundle 42). I tried going back to DM5 but still get the same error message.

Delete DM again. Download and install DM 5 without media manger. Remove the SD card in your BB. Then try to connect and sync.

Thanks, that worked. It took some effort to find a version of 5.0 that didn't try to automatically change to the 6.0 that was a problem for me.
