Default Can recieve but cant send text messages (SMS)

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, recently got a Curve 8520 and I can get sent text messages but when I try to send, it doesn't send, only a red cross appears next to the message..
I've searched for ages on how to solve it and it seems to be a widespread problem, but couldn't find out how to do it, so can anyone help please?

Have you tried a battery pull?

What OS is on the BB?

Have you spoken to your carrier to ensure that SMS is set up on your account? Text messaging is generally a carrier issue, not a BB one.

Each OS has its own version number.
You find it by going to Options - About
3rd line down

Also when i try to ring someone it goes to my mobile phone carriers service eg: Ringing my home phone .. 'ring ring... "Hello! Welcome to virgin media......."

What is up with this? Have i forgotten to activate something or register something?

Edit: I can recieve calls though.. So there must be something I need to do, to be able to send texts and call people etc

Sounds like it isn't activated.

Call the carrier.

It says im not registered with my provider, and i must do something to do with the Host Routing Table...

It says 'Registration message queued. It will be sent once data coverage is available.'

Does this mean I have no signal?

Call the carrier!

Are you in an area that has coverage by Virgin Mobile?

Open the message with the Red X and scroll up. What does it say next to status?

DubDub is right, you need to contact Virgin Mobile.

Sounds like it is blocked on the carrier's end. I would contact them when you can.
