Default Blackberry & Outlook Address Book

Please Login to Remove!

We put at partner here at our firm on a Blackberry linked to our Exchange server a few months ago. He basically is in the habit of relying on the auto complete cache (.nk2) in Outlook more or less as his address book. Since that cache is not synced with the phone and many of those addresses aren’t in his Outlook address book he laments that he “can’t send e-mail on the phone.”

Does anyone have a solution to possibly transfer or merge the cache addresses into his address book?

Thank you.

Can't he just type the person's name, or do the normal look up?

I suspect that the best solution is to get the names/addresses into both Outlook and his BB so he has everything with him. It is probably a manual solution, but ultimately the most effective.

To help this, a program like Gwabbit might allow him to add people into his address book more readily.

I'll check out Gwabbit tomorrow and see if I can make it work. I also saw a utility to convert a .nk2 cache file into a .csv file so maybe I can export his address book into a .csv file and add the contacts that way.

I have a suspicion that he will get another phone though so I don't know how much work I want to put into this.
