Default SMS using Data plan?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I have a corperate policy on my 8310 that prevents me from sending txt msgs...however....I CAN use BB msgr and browse the internet.

Is there an app for an 8310 that I can use that will use my data plan to send a text msg instead of going through my cell number?

Thanks

Not directly but you can use the SMS gateway. This way you can send an email and the recipient will receive it as a SMS, and vice versa.

A bit of advice. If your corporate IT Policy prohibits SMS, then it is not a real good idea to try to circumvent that policy, if you value your job that is. The policy is thee for a reason and whether you agree or not, you should not try to get around it.

And don't think the BES Admin won't find out.

What can a BES Administrator “see” on my BB...

What does BES see; what can be tracked/logged? - Port3101.org : Your BES Connection

What can a BES Admin actually look at on BB?
