| Really strange problem Please Login to Remove! Hey guys, this is my first post: basically just joined because I have a weird as hell problem I can't get my head around.
Basically (kind of), every now and again I have a problem on my Bold 9700 where a text will come through with a strange error- I'll be unable to open it, and in order to view it and previous texts I'll need to send a new message to the contact. Strange and kind of annoying, but it never bugged me enough to really look into it.
HOWEVER,
A few days ago my girlfriend texts me, and this happens. So I go to send a new message from scratch as usual, but find myself unable to text back at all: the "(!)" would appear by my text, as if I had no reception/the wrong number.
I soon realized that this was only happening with her number and no one elses. Even more bizarre, she could still text and call me, and I could still call her. I figured it might have something to do with her Contact file and decided I'd copy and paste her number into a brand new contact (hey it made sense in my head ok...)- soon as I copied her number, my phone crashed and gave me a JVM102 error. I had to reset my whole phone.
I figured this would at least rectify the problem but it hasn't: LONG STORY SHORT, my phone won't let me text one specific number. I can still call it, receive calls and texts from it, and it only affects this number, and only since the strange error came with the text I received from it. I have literally no idea what to do with this. Sorry if this is confusing, I kinda suck at big rambling explanations. Hope someone can help. |
