I just unlocked a Verizon wireless blackberry bold 9650 to use with my Rogers contract. I added on a data plan but every time I go to use BBM, nothing sends, as if I don't have a data plan. I've called Rogers a couple of times and whenever they ask for my IMEI number, they always say "huh, it says it's invalid" How can my IMEI number be invalid if I bought my phone straight from Verizon for an upgrade? Is maybe Rogers doing something wrong? Did my unlocking not work? It says that I am on the Rogers network for wireless, and I changed my number in my phone to my Rogers one, so why aren't things working??

Do you have a blackberry data plan? not a cell phone data plan.
BBM only works with a Blackberry Data Plan

Yeah I called Rogers to put on a 15 dollar unlimited email and bbm plan for my phone but nothing is working...only calling and text messages

Sounds like you don't have the proper Service Books which is not unexpected since Rogers does not sell the 9650.
